Key Verse:

Ephesians 6:10 - "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power." (NIV)

Devotional Message

There are trials and challenges throughout life that contests our faith and determines if we can stand by our decisions. Sometimes it might be the load of trials, temptation, or uncertainty. As believers, however, we are not supposed to have strength in ourselves to fight these battles, but rather we have to draw strength from the Lord.

Ephesians 6:10 points this out to us: "Be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of His might." That phrase is more than a call to urge men to exercise their own strength: for, while it may seem to carry that meaning, in Greek it meant to `press into God's strength.' God's power knows no boundary; hence, trusting in Him entails tapping into a resource that never fails.

Thus, to be strengthened in the Lord, these weaknesses are brought to Him, and the armor is being provisioned for the spirit to stand even against those adversities as Ephesians 6:11-18 say. It is that daily-moment decision for the Word to direct our steps, the Spirit to empower our actions, and the promises to anchor our hope.

If you were weak or discouraged today, remember God's strength is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Seek His presence in prayer, meditate on His Word, and believe because He is truly faithful to strengthen and sustain you.

Prayer:

Father in Heaven, I thank You for Your strength and might that never fails. Teach me, O Lord, to consult You in all matters, trusting in Your own mighty hand. When I find myself weak, remind me of your promise of being a refuge and strength. Please learn to equip me with full armor so that I can stand effective in faith and be armed to meet every challenge in time of need and with all confidence. In Jesus' name, Amen.
