They want me dead for exposing footage on Christian slaughter in Plateau,' says Rev Dachomo.

Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, a prominent Plateau State clergyman, has spoken out against diabolical schemes to assassinate him for daring to release a film depicting Christians being slain in the state to back up various claims of Christian genocide in Nigeria, particularly in Plateau.

Rev Dachomo, Regional Chairman for the Church of Christ in Nations, COCIN, in Barkin Ladi, sparked outrage on October 15th during a mass burial for 13 people killed in an attack carried out by suspected Fulani militants in Rachas village, Heipang District, and Rawuru village, Fan District, both in the council.

During the burial, Rev. Dachomo broadcast a live video in which he accused the Fulani of carrying out the murders and claimed that it was part of an orchestrated plan to eradicate the Christian community in Plateau and Northern Nigeria.

He also endorsed assertions that the killings of his church members were part of a Christian genocide, despite the Nigerian government's denials.

However, as a result of the film and his conviction that there is a continuing Christian genocide, particularly in Plateau State, Rev. Dachomo has said that he has received threats to his life.

The pastor who raised the alert while speaking with journalists in Jos on Friday stated his life is in great danger since he has been targeted for elimination as a result of his opposition to the killing of Christians.

"My life is in grave danger." Even as I talk, I am on the alert for potential attacks. I'm no longer sleeping with my eyes closed. I've been attacked before and escaped. My grandmother was killed and her heart extracted. "My uncle was also killed," the man of God stated.

He noted that the threats have come from a variety of sources, including military officials who believe he has implicated them for failing to act on an information alert he made about potential attacks on the Barkin Ladi settlements.

"They've been threatening me everywhere, including on social media. They even threatened to kill me at mass burials. They did the same to Senator Gyang Dantong, who was slain at his funeral. They've vowed to kill me. Even the Nigerian Army sent out a press release accusing me of instigating people. But they are inciting Muslims against us by refusing to make arrests," he said.

"This is what we are facing, and we have now resorted to self-defence; otherwise, the name of Jesus would never be heard again in our country.

"I want the world to know that we are going through the worst; as Jesus warned, 'You will be persecuted.' So we're keeping track of everything we're going through, exactly like the Bible did with what Christians went through," he explained.

The outspoken clergyman stated that he has received numerous death threats via phone calls and mails, but he is not afraid of death and would continue to speak truth to power and defend his people.

Speaking on the video that has now become a reference point for the death threats, Rev. Dachomo said:

"I recorded the movie to preserve history and show future generations how we were terrorised and persecuted. The film also provides evidence that a Christian genocide is taking place in the north.

"The goal is to help current and future generations stay firm in Christ in the face of persecution and terror. It is also intended to assist them in soul-winning. If they don't have a track record that supports their faith, they may give up.

"If Christians attacked Muslims, the entire military would mobilise against us, raid our towns, and conduct mass arrests. He added that before being released, you must pay a large sum of money.
